Varanasi, the holy city of India, is also known by the name of Kashi and Benaras. Kashi, the city of Moksha for Hindus since centuries. In Hinduism it is believed that those who die and are cremated here get an instant gateway to liberation from the cycle of births and re-births. Varanasi is the oldest city of the world. The holy city of Pushkar is located in the Ajmer district of Rajasthan, India. Pushkar is one of the five sacred dhams or pilgrimage sites for devout Hindus. One of the oldest cities of India. Pushkar lies on the shore of the sacred Pushkar Lake. Nagpur is the largest city in central India and the winter capital of the state of Maharashtra. It is a fast growing metropolis and is the third most populous city in Maharashtra after Mumbai and Pune, and also one of the country’s most industrialized cities. With a population of 2,405,421,[5] Nagpur is the 13th most populous city and 13th largest urban agglomeration in India. It is the 154th largest agglomeration and 164th largest contiguous urban areas in the world.
Nagpur is the seat of the annual winter session of the Maharashtra state assembly, “Vidhan Sabha”. Nagpur is a major commercial and political center of the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra. In addition, the city derives political importance from being the headquarters for the Hindu nationalist organisation RSS and an important location for the Dalit Buddhist movement. (more…)

KUMBH MELA is a mass Hindu pilgrimage of faith in which Hindus gather to bathe in a sacred river. It is the world’s largest religious gathering, with 80 million people expected in 2013.  It is held every third year at one of the four places by rotation: Haridwar, Allahabad (Prayag), Nasik and Ujjain. Thus the Kumbh Mela is held at each of these four places every twelfth year. Ardh (“Half”) Kumbh Mela is held at only two places, Haridwar and Allahabad, every sixth year. The rivers at these four places are: the Ganges (Ganga) at Haridwar, the confluence (Sangam) of the Ganges and the Yamuna and the mythical Saraswati at Allahabad, the Godawari at Nasik, and the Shipra at Ujjain. 2012 की विदाई हो गई. नया साल आ गया .आप सभी को नववर्ष की हार्दिक शुभकामनाये.
वैसे पिछला साल काफी अच्छा गया. साल के शुरू में ही मुझे प्रतिष्ठित STOCK PHOTOGRAPHY की एजेंसी “GETTY IMAGES” की ओरसे आमंत्रण मिला की वह मेरे फोटो को Commercial licence प्रदान करने की अनुमति चाहते है. यह मेरे लिए सन्मान की बात थी. मेरा इक सपना पूरा हुवा. क्योंकि यह मेरा सपना थी की अपने फोटोग्राफी से कुछ पैसा कमाऊ. उन्हें मेरी फोटोग्राफी पसंद आई और मेरा कार्य दुनिए के लोगों के लिए उपलब्द हुवा.

दूसरी सबसे बड़ी उपलब्धि यह है की मैंने अपना खुद का घर लिया. अपना खुद का घर लेना यह मेरे लिए सौभाग्य है और इसलिए भी 2012 मेरे लिए यादगार होगा. ऐसी खूब साडी बाते हुई है सभी का जिक्र करना मुश्किल है.
इस नए साल से काफी उम्मीद है. इस नए साल में खूब सारी फोटोग्राफी करना चाहता हूँ. ज्यादा से ज्यादा लोगों तक अपना काम पहुचाना चाहता हु. नए लोगों से मित्रता करना चाहता हूँ. बहुत कुछ सीखना चाहता हूँ.
एक और बात !!! अपना ब्लॉग हिंदी में लिखने की कोशिश कर रहा हूँ. यह मेरा पहला प्रयास है. उम्मीद है आपको पसंद आएगा!!
